Information

What is the Miss American Charm program?
A national pageant for ladies between the ages of 4-25. The 1st representative to register for each state per age category will represent her state. As we do not have a pageant for the Miss American Charm program for every state yet. (for example: Emily Ross is 1st to sign up for New York ....she will represent the state of New York. The 2nd girl to sign up for New York will represent her city or county). You do not need to win or enter in any other Miss American Charm program to be eligible to enter our National pageant: Miss American Charm in Orlando, FL -  July 18th - 21, 2007.

Little Miss – ages 4-6
Junior Miss - ages 7-9
Pre-Teen - ages 10-12
Teen - ages 13-16
Miss - ages 17-25

Objectives:

The Miss American Charm program seeks to award deserving young ladies who wish to further their knowledge & talent and who have set goals in life.This program encourages and promotes leadership,good will towards others, patriotism and involvement in civic organizations. Our program strives to develop self confidence, poise and a true sense of teamwork. Our commitment to these goals is supported through workshops offered during competition week which will help to enhance outer beauty as well as improve inner beauty.

Aims and Purposes:

The purpose of The Miss American Charm program is to build a foundation to help young ladies attain their goals, to promote the arts, to build self confidence and to encourage support for our country and civic organizations. Each year we aim to help those Americans who need our touch. We will reach out to those families of our fallen hero’s this year. 

Who is Miss American Charm?
She must possess a charming personality, both inner and outer beauty, a deep sense of values, knowledge and perception, clarity of expression, a concern for others. She does possess a willingness to be involved in human relations, a radiant smile, self confidence and control, wisdom, a glowing appearance, a love that penetrates an energetic spirit that is pure and wholesome and an exhibitor of faith, hope and charity.

The young ladies crowned Miss American Charm will be awarded various prizes (listed separately) along with a trip to NYC to meet with modeling and talent scouts. The overall winner will be required to complete community service hours throughout her reign. We work with the winners to promote a future, to set goals. It is our goal to develop and coach these girls to achieve the American dream by focusing on their inner self and inner beauty.

Categories:

Each contestant will compete in the following categories:
Evening gown, interview, state representation, beachwear (one-piece swimsuits or appropriate swimwear are permitted for the Miss category only) and sportswear. A separate talent category will be available for all contestants wishing to perform. The talent category will be judged seperately.  The talent winner will accompany the overall age division winners on the NYC trip.

Prizes, Prizes, Prizes

All contestants will receive a Miss American Charm Tee-shirt, a banner and Miss American Charm pin.

Miss American Charm, L.L.C. national winners will receive a $1000.00 savings bond, various gift certificates, a $250 shopping spree from Macy’s, trophy, Miss American crown, banner, NYC trip (under 18 one chaperone ticket will be included), a chance to meet with modeling and talent scouts, print recognition and much more.

1st runner up will receive a trophy, $500 savings bond and a $100 Macy’s shopping spree
2nd runner up will receive a trophy, $250 savings bond and a $75 Macy’s shopping spree
3rd runner up will receive a trophy, $100 savings bond and a $50 Macy’s shopping spree
4th runner up will receive a trophy, $50 savings bond and a $50 Macy’s shopping spree

Evening gown, interview, beach wear, sportswear and state representation winners will be awarded a trophy and a $50 savings bond.

Talent winners will be awarded a trophy, a banner, a $500 savings bond and a trip to NYC.

All runner ups will also receive 50% off of the following year’s entry fee.
There will be awards for congeniality, community service and photography categories.

(Did you know that Miss America competed in the same pageant 6 times before she won?)

Pageant events:

Upon arrival the contestants will check into their rooms (preferably the night before) and then join the others in a welcome reception/ breakfast. Introductions will be made and pageant agenda will be reviewed. Rehearsals and competition will begin that afternoon. Each day each division will have an opportunity for rehearsals and group interaction. There will also be designated free time for a pre-planned pool party! A political figure will address our contestants and accept care packages and letters. The community service award will be awarded. This contestant will be awarded a $250 savings bond. Saturday night will be finals night. All contestants will perform the opening number (costume to be pre-determined). Contestants will change into their evening gowns for the announcing of the top ten. There will be a top 5 announced for the talent competition. Top ten contestants for the overall category will have an on stage interview and the top 5 talent contestants will be chosen (1 contestant will be chosen from each age division and 1 final winner announced). Evening gown, beachwear, interview and sportswear winners do not have to be in the top ten.

Attire required: (your outfits will not be provided for you - the outfits you choose show your personal style and personality)

Evening gown competition:Formal evening gown
Sports wear competition:Everyday wear, sporty attire, trend, etc…
Beach wear competition:Beach or pool attire (no swimsuits except in the Miss category. Only one piece suits or beach wear permitted)
Interview competition:Business attire, Sunday dress for Little Miss and Junior Miss
Pantsuit, skirt suit or professional dress for all other ages.
Wednesday nightPool Part for contestants!!! *must RSVP
 Welcome Breakfast:Comfortable dress, suit, sundress, etc…
Rehearsals:Comfortable clothes (exercise clothes)
Pool party: Swim suits or pool attire 
All preliminary competition events are free for family and friends.
One complimentary ticket for the Grand finals will be given to each contestant.
Additional tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Judges and entertainment to be announced.
